Life Catching Up.

No Friday Faves today because I haven’t had much time for blogging this week. Most of my posts were scheduled ahead of time.

I’ve been going nonstop for the past few days between my jobs and visiting my mom in the hospital. She fell on her knee–her good knee–about a month ago. This knee started acting up last week and she’s been in the hospital since Monday being tested and taken care of. She goes through phases of excruciating pain and can barely walk. She can’t eat much because the pain meds make her nauseous. I know she’ll be okay once they figure out what’s wrong, but it’s so hard watching her in pain. They’ve done x-rays and MRIs and found nothing wrong, but have ruled out nerve damage, which is good. Tomorrow we find out if it’s a ligament/muscle problem. I just want to know what it is and move on to treatment. The uncertainty is killing me and the boring hospital bed is killing my mom.

Hopefully next week I can resume a normal schedule and relax a bit. Have a lovely weekend, everyone! ♥

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about this. Hope everything’s okay!

  2. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Hospitals can be so frustrating especially when you don’t know what is going on. Make sure you speak up for your mom loud and clear- even if that means being aggressive aka bitchy, sometimes that’s the only way to get things done in hospitals, at least that’s what I’ve learned.

Hope everything works out soon! xo

  3. :( I hope you all get some answers today. Hospitals are frustrating because of the lack of information that they can provide, and quickly too. Be assertive! And, if she isn’t getting what she needs, make sure to speak up so they know! Keep me updated. Hope they figure it out today and she can get better quickly. <3

Yeah, they’ve been pretty good so far, but she needs multiple specialists and they’re always pulled in so many directions… we’re just happy someone can come today and we don’t have to wait until monday!
