The Big Book of Cats is a weekly illustration project. In 1998, I was 11 years old and decided to make a 200 page encyclopedia of anthropomorphic cat girls. I’ve made a vow to honor this horrific piece of literature and redraw every cat girl and post a new drawing along with the original for the internet’s amusement. Want to know more? Read my official introduction here and check out all the drawings so far here!
You’re welcome and I’m so so sorry.

Carol is named after my mom, but, like most cat girls named after someone I knew, the similarities end there. I’m thankful that my mom wasn’t also born with an extra leg that was horribly maimed in a half-assed attempt to remove it…

Have you ever seen someone who looked like they needed a big floppy hat more than Carol? Of course, I gave her one. Now she can frolic around in that sundress even more happily and well accessorized!

Your cats are awesome!
I flippin love this series! It just makes me smile!
I love this series, it’s neat seeing how your style has evolved. I drew very similar when I was young, skinny creatures with tons of hair! ;-) I suppose I wanted to be skinnier myself. I do enjoy your current drawings very much. thanks for sharing them with everyone!
Love the project! <3 <3
