This is the saddest outfit post ever… such a nice outfit, such pretty fall colors… aaaand my camera battery died after about 10 shots. This is the only acceptable one. Bummer, but I still couldn’t resist sharing! I’ll just have to share detail shots of my amazing mouse belt and geometric wedge heels another time. Ho-hum.
Does anyone else have tragically old-fogey type parents who go nuts when you wear white after Labor Day? I was on my way to dinner with them after work when I took this photo–that explains my rush and inability to make sure my battery was charged–and they gave me so much shit. I don’t like any fashion “rules”, especially ones so dated and pointless.

My mom is okay with the labor day rule, but any time I mix patterns or black and brown, she loses it. Why can’t she just understand that fashion rules are MADE to be broken? :) Love that dress, by the way!

my mother is not a fan of boots with shorts, all summer i got reamed over that, she also doesn’t dig my whole tights under shorts concept but whatever! this is a cute outfit, i’m dying over the neckbow
So. much. pretty. color. I think blue (especially a darker blue like that) and mustard is such an excellent combo. I don’t have anyone in my family that believes in the white after Labor day rule, but for the record… I hate that rule. I hate pretty much every fashion rule. Everyone is different! And for people who don’t like wearing white after Labor day… Tell them to tell that to Mother Nature. ;P The Earth is covered in white whenever we get snow!
