OOTD: Pastel Plaid

“Pugaga” T-Shirt: Tee Fury | Skirt: Thrifted | Belt: Banana Republic | Knit Bow: Stick To Your Knittin’ Kitten | Shoes: Unknown

Yesterday was a blustery, stormy fall day–as I’m sure you heard if you’re from the US, especially the midwest. Thankfully the storm hit us early in the morning and left us with a gorgeous 75 degree, windy, sunny day. Leaves were flying everywhere and you could see the clouds floating across the sky… it was perfect! I’m so happy that we live within walking distance of a grocery store now. It made for a lovely stroll to get breakfast sandwich supplies. :)

It was also an awesome excuse to dress a bit seasonally inappropriately. I wore pastels like it was springtime and look, Ma! No tights! Or cardigan! Haha, probably the last time I can say that until March. No matter how many Easter egg colors are involved, plaid always reminds me more of autumn, though.

Girl, your skirt! I love it! Totally looks like something I would pick up from a thrift store too. :) Also, how do you get your hair to have so much volume? Mine is always flat and pretty boring looking.

Thank you, Mollie! <3 The skirt’s been in my “to-mend” pile for months, actually. I wanted to hem it a couple inches, but I decided to give it a chance as-is and ended up liking the length. :)

Ugh, I’m sorry to give such a frustrating answer to the hair question, but I’m afraid I just have really thick hair. That’s its natural state. I had just blow dried it before I took these photos. No product or anything. A few days after shampooing, I’ll tease my hair a bit and use dry shampoo to get some of the fluff back!

You are so adorable. That knot in the belt is epic. And those shoes remind me of strawberry icecream.

This is different and fun! I love long skirts. I feel really comfortable in them. A lot more than I do in a regular skirt!
